Women and the cinema industry

On November 2013, the New York Film Academy has made a report on Gender Inequality in Films, to see if there were any improvement : there are small ones, but Hollywood is still a very gendered place. It reminds me of the “Bechdel test”, named after Alison Bechdel : the goal is to review fictional works, and see if it features “at least two women who talk to each other about something other than a man”. (Try to make the test, the results are shocking.)
Look at this infographic, which makes it very clear that the cinema industry is still an unequal place, and react !
